July Week 2 CAS Outlawz Challenge...

still catching up...again, my apologies for the delay. This week's CAS challenge at The Outlawz is to use your stamps for the ENTIRE card! Yep, that's right...paper, embellishments, sentiment....all stamps. I struggled with this one a bit...I love the burn of a good challenge....and, better yet, I love the satisfaction of overcoming it :) Wanna feel the burn too? Click the link below to play along:

"Home Is Where Your Nest Rests":

Supplies Used:
Card: Made from scrap cardstock
Cardstock: Unknown (Using Up Scraps)
Ink: Staz-On Timber Brown (Tsukineko)
Stamps: Grainy Background and Spring Unity set (Unity Stamps); Fall For You set and Sing A New Song set (Ippity)
Other: Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens 0.3mm

The Grainy Background stamp was used to make my tree patterned paper. The scallop stamp from the Sing A New Song set was used to make my borders. I love to have items hanging off of the edge. This can be a problem with premade envelopes. What I simply do is trim a little off of the original card before I start my design. This way I have some extra room for the card to fit safely into the envelope :)

Trying to climb over the hump today...what a tough little hill...bonus is that I am meeting some friends after to work to go shopping at a new scrapbook store. It is about an hour and a half away for me, but it will be fun as I have not seen these friends since my mommy's funeral. We are having an early dinner too. I have my little shopping list ready to go :)

Pryn, I love your card. Just a fabulous card!! I love your tip about trimming your card prior to starting. It may seem a simple tip but sometimes we over look the simple!!
Enjoy your shopping trip and dinner. I hope it lifts your spirits!!!

This is sooooo clever Pryn. I don't think I could manage that challenge lol I'm not the best at 'real' stamping. Hope you had a fab shopping spree and came home with lots of new goodies to play with :)
hugs xx
