FWF May 4, 2012

So I woke up today thinking it was Saturday and that I missed FWF again.  Just about an hour ago, knowing that Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, I came to the realization that today is only the 4th and, therefore, must be Friday.  Whoo hoo!  I am NOT going to miss it after all :)  It has been a rough day already today and it is starting to look up :)  Bring on the weekend fun!!!

"This Too Shall Pass":
SUPPLIES USED:
Card:  Michaels
Cardstock:  Unknown (using up scraps)
Stamp:  Donna Poppies (Unity); sentiment - KOTM February 2012 (Unity)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Versamagic Dew Drops Persimmon and Mango Madness (Tsukineko)
Punch Border: Stampin' Up!
Other: Zig Millennium Pen .005 (EK Success)

Close up shot:
I messed up the stamping when trying to line up the outline with the solid (I really need to get one of those stamp positioner tools....anyone have a recommendation?).  Talk about frustrating!  I played around a little with my chalk inks and fingers, then finished it all off by outlining the entire image with a .005 nib black pen.  I stepped back to take a look...what do you know?  A very happy accident :)
The sentiment is awesome...I think it to be a sign from my mommy.  Why?  It was always one of her favorite things to tell me when I was down and struggling with things.  It came in Unity's February Kit Of The Month...the month she passed...the year anniversary...coincidence?  Hmmm....maybe for some...but the goosebumps I had on my arms the day I opened it and the fact that the sight of it seemed to burn into my mind...well...that tells me otherwise.  A mother's love is strong...and it doesn't end in death <3

Pryn, I think the card looks great. I can't even see where you "messed up". Those multiliners are terrific aren't they? I don't think this whole kit and that sentiment was a coincidence. Mommy is sending you a message. My MIL uses that saying all the time. These types of things have happened to me with my dad also. Not a coincidence, I'm sure.
I know this has been the most difficult year of your life, but you will get through it stronger. I'm sure you have your Mommy's strength. I also know you are making her very proud. Enjoy your weekend, Pryn.

It really turned out wonderfully - no one would notice if you hadn't pointed out your "mistake"!

I like SU's positioner...I use it all the time.

It comes with a piece of clear plastic material so you can wipe off after you position (the old style...I also have...uses vellum or a similar translucent paper...and uses lots of paper!) SU's - NO PAPER!
