Letters O and P...

So much for trying to get 4 done...I only had time for 2 :( Update is that I am still 7 days behind. I probably will only have time to finish another 2 tonight. I am going to push for 3, but work has been exhausting and crazy! I guess being this busy gives me a little job security ;)

Letter O: I just realized that I did this one wrong...grr! The challenge is to use an owl on the card, but to also use a cut out shape....somehow when I was working on it, I got it in my thick head that we needed to use a circle on it (that is where the grommet balloon came into play). AS I blog, I went to recheck the site to post the directions and found out that I need to recheck BEFORE I start the card. I guess if I have time I will redo this challenge. For now though I am so behind that I have to let it be :(

Products used:
card: DCWV Textured
patterned paper: Making Memories; Basic Grey (Blush collection)
Thread: DMC
Stamp: Prima (owl)
Inks: Distress Walnut Ink (Ranger)
Other supplies: Grommet (Making Memories); Pop Dots; Bic Mark-Its
Close up of the 3D Owl....three stamp layers and a fourth wing added.

Letter P: Followed the directions this one ;) This challenge was to use only scraps (no problem there since I have a TON) and to use piercing somewhere on the card. I chose to use a pierced butterfly trail. Hopefully you can see it. The piercing technique is a little camera shy and doesn't want to show up well....lol!

Products used:
card: Michael's
patterned paper: unknown; Rhonna Farrer
Crystals: Darice
Die Cuts: Cuttlebug cut and emboss butterflies
Inks: Distress Tattered Rose (Ranger)
Other supplies: Souffle Pen; Sanding tool; Piercing Tool (butterfly trail)

Close up of the embossed die cut butterfly. Can you believe I have had this for almost 2 years and this is the first time I have used it?????? I love, love, love...you get the idea...it!

Hoping to have some more to post tomorrow! Have a great day!!!!!
