So what am I sharing today? A card that I made for the Simply Scrapping Crafts call (please see Mondays post for details)...I am really feeling the color combo. I started with the purple because it is a color that is out of my comfort zone. I normally only use it during the Halloween season....which means I have tons of scraps that color...that calls for "operation use 'em up"!!!! I am trying not to cut any new paper for cards because my scrap storage is overflowing....anyone else know what that is like????? I also am a paper hoarder so it takes some tears, at times, to cut my favorites ;)
Just For You Card:
Products Used:
Card: DCWV Textured
Cardstock: unknown (using up scraps); color combo- Purple, Cream, Black
Stamps: Basic Grey (flowers); Heidi Grace Designs (sentiment); Scrappy Cat (vine)
Inks: Archival Jet Black (Ranger); Dew Drop Chalk Inks (Tsukineko)
Brads: Joann's
Other: Pop Dots; Zig Writer
Here is a close up of the flowers:
You cannot tell by the photo, but the flower stamp is a shadow set from Basic Grey. There is a lighter lilac ink stagger stamped underneath for a shadowed effect. I did some fussy cutting on the flowers after they were stamped so I had to use a Zig Writer to add the inked edging for some added pop. Pop dots were also added for extra dimension.
Close up of the vine stamped image:
This vine stamp is the greatest. It cost only $1.00!!!!! I adore it and would have to say that it was $1.00 well spent! I did some more fussy cutting on this one too. Have you tried the new EK Success Precision Snips? OMG!!!!! They are FABULOUS!!!!! Seriously a MUST HAVE if you love to fussy cut. They may take some getting used to, but they are deserving of the adjustment. Now what was I saying? Oh yes....the vine stamp ;) I only adhered the bottom of the vine that is tucked behind the flower and left the rest "blowing in the wind". I really like the realistic effect is adds. I will definitely be trying this same stamp method on a layout in the future.

Hope everyone is having a good week. We have snow here today in Pittsburgh....it is beautiful out there ( I am looking out the window of the shop right now). For those of my dear friends that are not having such a great day, remember this......tomorrow is FRIDAY :) Yahoo!
